How to Approve Posts Before They Become Public
« on: January 14, 2013, 05:00:49 pm »
Have you ever wondered if you can approve posts before they become public? If so, well, you just got lucky, because you can! Bring some popcorn, relax, and read my tutorial on "How to Approve Posts Before They Become Public"! Please read all of this before trying it out. Thank You.

Section 1

Step 1:
Navigate to your Admin Panel.

Step 2:
Navigate to Members>Permissions>Settings

Step 3:
Make sure you have "Enable permissions for post count based groups" check marked, but only if you want EACH member group to have different settings (such as newbie, member, super member etc.). If not, then you don't need to follow this part. Just skip to Section 2.

Section 2

Step 1:
Navigate to your Admin Panel.

Step 2:
Navigate to Configuration>Core Features.

Step 3:
Scroll down until you find Post Moderation. And Enable it.

Step 4:
Click on Post Moderation, and then choose the settings you want.

The green check mark means Can create
The yellow exclamation mark means Can create but requires approval
The red X means Cannot create
