Need help - make smffy.com domain to .com
« on: August 09, 2015, 12:15:56 pm »
Hi.

5 years since I'm registered on this forum.

Now, I got a question.

My forum was registered at 2011, with .smffy.com name.

Now whenever I try to go to smfnew.com it says smfnew2.com and "OOPS this domain does not exist" which means I cant login to panel.

So my questions.

1-Whom should I pm, because I want my smffy.com domain to work with .com. I could set name servers, I just need them. And anything else.

2- I had a nice different theme on my forum and now after few years it changed to smf default, like in this forum. Why? I can't add any theme that I want anymore?

I do have my smfnew.com/manage EMAIL and PASSWORD, however that link does not respond and is invalid.

I just want to take the time to welcome you back to SMFNew! :) Since you've been gone, we've seen many changes and upgrades. We're now under new ownership, and have since released SMFNew 2, our new framework which allows for greater stability and more potential for better features.

In example, our theme system has been replaced by a much more dynamic stylesheet system, which grants YOU the control over how your forum looks. We have a few preset styles you can check out and customize to your liking, or you can even choose to create your own from scratch if you know CSS enough. To learn more about how CSS works, check out this page. (To get to the stylesheet manager, navigate to Admin > Style Manager [under the Configuration menu])

In addition to many new features that weren't possible before, we've given our users a greater degree of choice over what you pay for, if you so choose to do so. Replacing our old Pro Hosting solution is the new Ultimate Plan, as well as one-off upgrade payments. If you wish to upgrade your forum to unlock it, and thus support us in the process, then you now have the option to pay once for specific upgrades. If you want a larger amount of upgrades, you can choose to take advantage of our Ultimate Plan, which combines many of the different features under one small subscription. In this way, if you choose that you want to pay for anything, you have a greater degree of control over WHAT you pay for, and we install the upgrades automatically for you.

Unfortunately, though, we do not support custom domains as of now. This may change in the future, but we have no estimates when/if this will happen. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyways, we hope you like what you see now. Again, welcome back! :)
