How to add music to your forums

Step One - choosing a song
Choose a song any song that you want to have on your forum

Step Two - uploading
Upload the song to a file manager THAT ALLOWS DIRECT LINKING For this tutorial I'm going to use fileden I usually use mediafire but you have to pay to get direct linking. Register on http://www.fileden.com. When registered log in and upload the song(not in .rar just the normal song)If you do not know where to find the song file or you do not have the song you want than post a comment below requesting a song (i have tons of songs). When done uploading it gives you the url(do not go to it or you will be downloading the song) remember the code for the next step.


Step Three - The code

 Autostart When user goes on forums true=it starts automatically false=user has to click play.
 Loop If song repeated true=repeated infinity times false=played only once.
 Hidden If player hidden true=not shown false=shown.
 Width & Height Width & height of the player.

Step Four - Posting the code
To add the code for SMF 2 RC 3 go to admin>forum>boards>modify boards and click modify in any board. Add the code in there.








SMF 1.1.11 it's the same thing except you can also add it in the footer or header.

Nice tutorial never really thought about adding music. I think before an owner adds they should ask there members just incase because you don't want a stressed out member on your website .

Yeah, that's what I did and also that's why I don't like playlist.com because to many songs will cause stress and they'll be annoyed.

I'll post genre's than top artist than top songs from that artist

Put as much songs on it as you can

Btw electronic is the best because people don't dislike it as much as the other ones.

Not quite yet, i tried using playlist, i have 56 songs on my playlist, but when i put it on my forum, it says it empty.
