Setting up subscription feature
« on: June 29, 2011, 07:16:41 pm »
I am trying to figure out how to get the subscription feature working on my forum. So far i have the following done:

•A paypal account is made to receive payment
•The member subscriber feature is enabled
•A member group is made for the subscribers
•A subscription has been made for this

Basically all i need to do now is figure out how i can enable a subscribe button on the forum page and have it so users can click, pay, and be subscribed for the time chosen. I have also done the part on the paypal account for IPN so I just need to figure out what to do from there because theirs not really a tutorial anywhere on it that i can look up and figure it out from.

They would just have to go into their profile and look for the option called "Paid Subscriptions" under the Actions tab.

No problem :) I don't know about a link (it would be quite complicated if it's even possible), but you could always add a BBCode block saying something like this

Hey, did you know that you can subscribe to this site for a small fee to get extra features? To subscribe, go into your profile, and look for the option called 'Paid Subscriptions' under the 'Actions' tab!
