This is my first graphic tutorial admire how much time i put into this
I started at 5:38 PM
I chose gimp because it's free and I don't have money for photoshop and stuff like that. You are going to be creating a sort of graffiti text like thisRequirements------------Name---------- -------------------Link-------------------
Gimp2.6
Click MeFont- Amsterdam Graffiti
http://amsterdamgraffitifont.tk/ Brushes
http://urbandesignsvectors.tk/ More Brushes
http://gimpsplatterbrushes.tk/ Even More Brushes http://splatterbrushes.tk/ When you download Gimp, the font, and the brushes extract them to Gimp 2.6 go to my computer -> Local Disk (C:) -> Documents and settings -> your computer account -> .gimp-2.6. Extract the brushes to brushes and fonts to fonts
Now open up Gimp and Click File -> New chose any size you want I recommend 640x480 Click "Advanced options" and change "Fill with:" and put transparency and than click "OK"
A page should pop up and it looks like little gray boxes.
In "Toolbox" Click the Font Icon.
And this will show up
Click the picture with the letters "Aa" and search for Amsterdam graffiti
When you have it click and hold on the little gray boxes and move your mouse
Don't mind the red color it was a mistake I did just keep it black till later. Now type in the text you want and than center it
OK, there's a box that says layers and there should be 2 layers. Right click the layer with the text and click "alpha to selection" grab your gradient tool
and choose 2 colors (the same) one darker and the other lighter. Now gradient the text from up to down (don't take out the alpha if you have put it up again)
Create a new layer by clicking the new layer icon
Okay now at the top there's file edit select view etc
click edit and than click grow and grow it by
4 pixels Put the new layer under the text and get the "bucket fill tool" next to the font icon and click it change the color to black and click the text make sure your on the layer of the new layer not the text if you're on the text left click the new layer.
Now that you've done that don't take off alpha keep it on. Choose the burn tool (the last icon) and make sure it's on burn.
Choose any splatter and click the text the more you click the darker the spots get (doesn't really work with read) now take off alpha by going to select -> none
Now make a new layer and get your brush out and click the screen (better to do it on the text but to the right of it)
there's some space to the left of the text so there's another splatter brush to fill that in
Now click file -> save and at the end put .png example smfnew.png
End resultIf you need any help or anything more detailed post it!
