Quick/Simple Question

I have a little problem.
The loading time @ my forums is pretty slow.

It takes an estimated 3+ seconds to load a page and I believe this isn't very fast.
Therefor.. I was wondering;

Is this because SMFNEW or because something else?

Peak times
Slow internet
SMFNew making backups

We host over 41,000 forums you need to keep that in mind too .

It's probably because there are so many hosted forums.
My internet isn't the problem.

Don't assume anything. A lot of the times, users who are experiencing slow speeds blame it on other things when they're too embarrassed to admit that they forgot to check their internet speeds.

Taking daily backups slow the servers down at times as well as peeks in traffic, we will look into it again.

Wow.. At the moment my forum is really fast.

Loading speed per page = less then a second.

I'm running about 30 web pages, photoshop and some other programs.
