Administration Discussion / Re: help me!

To add smileys all you need to do is go to Admin > Forum > Smileys and message icons > Add smileys. From there you can upload any smileys you have already downloaded. As for downloading new themes, that would require pro hosting, which you can purchase for $15 a month.

You people beat me to everything as I am trying to do my duty as a good citizen. :P

Anyways Jaekob is right, you need to buy Pro hosting which if you consider is only $15 a month.

Now hold on, if you want the smileys you could just add them on one by one if you downloaded them each separately, and then upload them on their own.

Graphics And Design / Logo contest

Well, to all of you who think you are computer graphic geniuses, let me see what you've got. Post an original logo here that says "Merchscape" if you wouldn't mind. We are looking for a nice new permanent logo since we were long bored of our old terrible one. If I'm impressed it will be used on our site and you can check it out! Don't be too lazy and just try to do this out of the kindness of your heart. :P

More Info(the more info the better it will be):for the color of panscape make it blue

I am just going to try to help, to say what was told to me. Please refrain from posting in a thread that has not been posted in for one month or more. As you can see the last post before yours was over a year ago. You are more than likely just going to get a signature or banner. Thanks.

First off. This is interesting. Never seen something quite like this, good luck!

Second. This above quote is a perfect example of a quote I can use that my friend said.

"The quanity of posts is not important, it's the quality of the post that counts".

I am not trying to sound like a Grammar Nazi, but I think it helps clean up forums quite well. I might make a guide on replying to threads. :3

I'm sorry, is this your server? Have you requested a domain change? If so I am sure that the Administration will get to it soon. You can edit the ammount of security in the Admin Panel also. Let me get back to you on this I have to be somewhere.

I think the way you could get it the way you want it, is to put your rank images and the name of the rank in a custom HTML block and put it at the bottom of your forum. :)

That's how you do it, I remember now! Glad it's solved, and thanks for the reminder. :P

That's a block. Let me get back to you, I have it on my forums.

EDIT: So I looked around, You can make a "users online" block, and it shows your membergroups, plus who is online. Hope this helped.

Just letting you know, once you have bought pro hosting, there is no switching back to free. If you can't pay anymore your forum will be shut down until you pay again.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "so I suppose you're a bit ahead of me". That was my attempt at being sarcastic, but sarcasm is one of my weakspots lol. But yes, BBC just takes time to learn. ;)

Oh yeah, i didn't catch that :P

It's nice to know something about you. :)

Glad to tell you guys about me. I mean not intending to leave SMFNEW anytime soon, so I figured I would make myself known!

Let me get back to you on this, I can look around for now.

EDIT: So I'm not sure if you can ban them from just the shoutbox, but this could possibly work, although it restrains the member from posting. Admin > Members > Ban list > Add new ban > Restriction box > Mark partial ban > Mark can not post. Maybe that will work for the No posting in shoutbox.

Just adding this if you wanted to promote someone on simpleportal's shoutbox, then they could only delete shouts, but here is how if you want. If you wanted only them you could create a new membergroup that looks identical to the last, and then go down under permissions and mark off "can delete shouts". I hope helped at least a little. Thanks.

Hey and welcome to SMFNew :)

I took the PSAT last school year which was my Freshman year in high school, so I suppose you're a bit ahead of me. ;) I also know very basic JavaScript (main programming language that my game dev team is using for two different main games of ours haha), and my HTML skills are intermediate at best. :P I have basic PHP knowledge - I can recognize how it functions and other stuff, but I couldn't write a full website in it TBH lol. FYI - BBC is really easy to learn, all you have to do is memorize the keywords, and once you have them down, you have them down. ;)

Well, once again, welcome to SMFNew :)

Yes thanks for your welcome, and I realize how easy BBC is to learn, it's just that I have never really taken the time to memorize those keywords, therefore making it my weakpoint. Just to clarify though, I didn't take the PSAT I took the actual SAT, lol. anyways, thanks and I'm glad to become a part of the community!

Happy 1000th post! :P

It almost appears as if you installed a portal mod. Did you check to see if it was compatible with your version of SMF?
