One Member having trouble accessing one board
« on: January 30, 2012, 08:44:48 am »
I have one member who is having trouble accessing one of our boards. She can get into all the other boards with no problems. I have checked all her settings, nothing has changed. Other members are not having trouble and she's logged out, rebooted computer and all that. Also when she accesses the index page the only thing there is a few pictures and an article.

She keeps getting this error:

"Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator."

any idea's?

Go to Members -> Membergroups -> Edit Membergroups

On his usergroup click "modify" and scroll down, there's "visible boards"

Check that this board is enabled to him.

After that go to
Forum -> Boards -> Modify Boards
On board that he can't see, click "Modify"
Make sure that his usergroup is enabled at "Allowed groups"

Hope this helped.

Thanks, I did all that and she still can't get into the board. She can go into a thread and post if she clicks on a last post in the recent posts section. But that is the only way she can see a thread or post in one.

She also did say (after I posted the original request) that yesterday when she logged in it was very slow to load and when she first tried to post a comment she got an error but hit the back button on her browser and tried again and it posted. After that she got off line and when she came back could not access that that one section she had posted in.

she is the only one who is having this trouble, there are 4 other people in her member group that have no problems at all.

Very confusing to say the least.

Sorry, but if that didn't work I guess I don't have solution for this at this moment.
But I will try to figure out what's wrong with it.
Maybe other staff members are able to help you out when they get online.

Thanks for your help its appreciated. I've created another user account for her now so she is not totally out of the loop until this is figured out.

She can now access everything on our forum under her original user name. Don't know what happened but she's been checking it every day and just today has been able to log in.
