I can't get it to work either. I'll have a dive into the admin panel later to see if i can get it to work. Please re-read his tutorial, i have edited the bottom.

Also note, he's back in september.

For the support forum, ive allowed utube videos by using:
[yt]number of video like 8WCJZjdP-eQ[/yt]
Which will look like:

[yt]8WCJZjdP-eQ[/yt]

Anyway, ill have a look and reply within 2 days.

right...

First go into your profile and enable HTML, if the user dont have this ticked then it def wont work.

The in the Admin Panel, go and General Admin and under Allow HTML tick it.

under this is a box that says says: Allowed HTML tags
Separate tags with commas.

Erase the current ones and enter this: b,i,u,pre,img,CENTER,TD,TR,TABLE,P,FONT,BR,a,span,h2,iframe,object,param,embed

then you should be able to get YT vids on your posts. post the WHOLE embedded code from the right of the vid, DONT put [url] ir something either side, theres no need, just the code, no tages either side.

Example:

Code: [Select]
<object width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;><param name=&quot;movie&quot; value=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/3_3sPX9UItQ&quot;></param><param name=&quot;wmode&quot; value=&quot;transparent&quot;></param><embed src=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/3_3sPX9UItQ&quot; type=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; wmode=&quot;transparent&quot; width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;></embed></object>

will be:

object width="425" height="350">http://www.youtube.com/v/3_3sPX9UItQ">http://www.youtube.com/v/3_3sPX9UItQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

No real forum offers html > its a huge security flaw. Thus BBcode was created. You can post you tube videos by using

[yt]the end code of the url of video[/yt]
I'm closing this topic as there is no point installing a BBcode mod as phpBB3 will be installed shortly.
