Database error?
« on: December 11, 2012, 01:26:13 pm »
Hi all,

I currently get an error everytime I want to modify a board:

Code: [Select]
Can't create/write to file '/home/dbtmp/#sql_740_0.MYI' (Errcode: 28)
File: /home/smfnew/public_html/smf/2/Sources/Subs-Boards.php
Line: 1047

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 2.0.1, while your database is at version 2.0. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

Is my error. Does anyone know how to fix?

Thanks

Alright, that's odd - it seems it might be a network-wide issue. I'll see if I can get any information on this situation.

It seems like the same exact problem that happened to SMFNew on the data base change. See if you can remember how you fixed the error.

We're pretty certain it's not the same problem. A hard-disk drive on the one server went out today, but we're working on fixing it. We're also installing better server monitoring software to ensure we're notified quicker about server issues or potential issues. :)

The same thing just happened to me along with some other errors.

When trying to post:

"The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message."

and when trying to log out:

"An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

The problem is due to mySQL or the Database is having Issues, not just your forums maybe other forums that is using mySQl aswell. If you wait maybe till later it should be fixed

If this problem or error till occurs let us as soon as possible

EDIT: Could you possibly send us your Forums website link please?

Thanks,
Lewis

Lewis, it appears to be a network-wide issue so no specific links are necessary at this time.

As for the rest of you, we're still working on determining what the exact cause of it is. One of our team members will come back and notify the community when we've any updates.

Thanks for your patience! :)

Same applies to my forum tumu.smfnew.com.

I see that one of my members has posted succesfully less than an hour ago, so the problem occured just moments ago.
