i was wondering if there was a mod that let you thank a post. instead of the karma thingy..

as when someone thanks your post, it shows under the post that was thanked.

May be there's some mod.........But if you are unable to find it than--

Make a maintenance mod , which can do so. He can Post a comment , at the last, about which "Sail Thanks to the poster'' .

Well, if you've seen this on another forum, your best bet would be to speak to that forum's administrator and ask them what mod it is.

its off a vbulliten forum, so it might just be a defult thingy.

If it's a vBulletin forum, and it's a mod, there would need to be a conversion to SMF, as vBulletin and SMF mods aren't cross-compatible by default.

The best thing to do, in this case, would be to check out the official SMF customisation site, located at http://custom.simplemachines.org

Fortunately, that mod is compatible with the newest version of SMF, but you ALWAYS want to check and double-check that every mod and theme is compatible with your version of SMF. Even the slightest version difference can break your whole forum.

Mods won't be added unless the community's majority vote is in favour of the mod. It's been suggested before, and I believe the majority vote was not in favour of it. I don't recall all of the reasoning behind the vote down however.

well i think that crown mod should be added to, because no other free forums have the crown mod.

We've been up and down about that mod for a while now. Sometimes we think it would be a cool addition, but other times we think it might make SMFNew look too much like an RSPS-only host.

Not that a great percentage of forums on the network aren't RSPS's anyways. Being that I'm likely going to be a future Jagex Games Studio employee, I prefer to take the precaution of not affiliating with RSPS forums - I'd hate to hurt my future job!

I'd rather have real users than fake ones showing up on my list. Putting fake ones on there almost feels dishonest, in my opinion.
