Hi guys,

Just wondering about the significant amount of downtime that recently occurred?

Nice to see the forum back up again though.

Thanks Jake.

My most recent one was a spammer as I suspected.

I am just wondering if there is info around here pertaining how to tell if a user is legitimate or not. I have had a few sign up and post gibberish or links to external sites I do not want on my forum so I have deleted them.

With the track user option I am not really sure what to look for to determine if I should delete their account(s) or not.

Thanks in advance,

Kris

I assume you mean something like the things that can be found
HERE

Just curious as to your main purpose with this? And if you are looking at SMF in general or something specific to Smfnew?

I am not trying to discourage you or anything but thus far I have either found the things I am looking for on the smfnew support forum or via asking questions.  I guess I am really asking if what you plan on doing is trying to put together all the bits and pieces people might ask into a series of videos and/or postings. Might be a monumental task.

Kris

Feedback / Re: SMFNew Ad
« on: April 29, 2013, 05:49:25 pm »
Alex felt the need to move on to new projects including a different company he runs, but when he made the decision to do so, it was during a major server issue for SMFNew. So what he decided to do was get that issue fixed, then leave quietly so our users wouldn't feel like he abandoned them and the server issue. Todd was appointed the new lead admin shortly before he left.

Thanks for the reply Jake.

Thanks,

Will do this shortly and post back with the result. No problem with trust here as it is my brother I am giving some permissions to.

Only admins can embed html.

Have you tried to wrap the html with bbcode tags [*html] code [*/html]

You will need to enable html under post settings.

Bob code is enabled

I am trying this

Code: [Select]
[*html]<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h8MAHQhKe7Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>[*/html]

Hmm, Then maybe it will result in success.

Uhm;

Kris naviate to:

Admin > Forum > Posts and Topics > Bulletin Board Code

In this cave you will find bunches and bundles of Codes, These codes are meant for which is allowed and not allowed in POSTS AND TOPICS Only admin can change it, Some codes Which is checked and unchecked. So After entering this cave search for html It will be on Right side.

If its Unchecked, Please Check it.

Then Click Save and go for a try.

Thanks,
I
I already had this done though.

Mathematics Support Forum

I am looking to give a moderator permission to embed music on my forum using the iframe code and html

Code: [Select]
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h8MAHQhKe7Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Is this possible? If so how? As an administrator I can do this but need to know how to change the settings to give this moderator permission.

Thanks,
Kris
