Dear Wonderful User,

This week, I am planning on changing the domain easyforumz.com to phpbbnew.com. This will impact some changes to this site. Below are a list of what will be changed and what won't be changed along with reasons!



Change benefits:

• phpbbnew.com is a shorter domain.
• phpbbnew.com has better SEO.
• phpbbnew.com will integrate with our sister site smfnew.com
• Many users don't like easyforumz.com
• Huge traffic will be picked up from search engines.

Impacts:

• If you visit easyforumz.com it will direct you to phpbbnew.com
• The support forum will be moved to phpbbnew.com
• All old links will direct to the new site.
• All forums will remain NAME.easyforumz.com unless requested by that forum owner.
• New forums will only be able to signup as NAME.phpbbnew.com.
• No NAME.easyforumz.com forums will be able to be created.
• There may be a few hours of downtime.
• All @easyforumz.com emails will be kept.
• Easyforumz.com will still be in my full control, nothing will be deleted (emails etc)
• It will lead to new sites being made! (No hints)

So why am i doing this? The main reason being is that the "z" on this domain isn't good for google. Thats the sole reason.. Example? smfnew.com was made 1 month and one day ago. Since 5 -6 new forums a day because of SEO. Easyforumz.com struggles to get 1 forum a day, and has been running for 7 months.


HOPEFULLY smfnew.com will not be affected in anyway. However, i can not confirm this as the server may have to be re-configured meaning that the 30 domains i host will also have downtime. Hopefully, it won't come to this !:cool:

Expect 1 - 24 hours of downtime from this date. All services WILL be affected including smfnew.com

Yes! We're Moving the domain soon so that I get more traffic as well. ATM I am not because of the 'z' as well.
