You can't make them invisable. I will consult another staff member who deals with smf.

Go into member groups on the admin panel click moderator and tick the box that allows mods to sticky topics.

Im not sure SMF can do this. However, try this:

Make a new group like Global Moderator
Set Permissions
Done.

Also, what is your forum URL?

my url is sportspt.smfnew.com

Thanks,

Let me know if my above method works. Basically clone the global moderators so a new basic group for global moderators whom can only stick/lock topics.

Follow these steps..

In Admin, on the left click.. "Membergroups"

(https://www.support.smfnew.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.support.phpbbnew.com%2Fattachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D15%26stc%3D1%26d%3D1202681912&hash=a3b4b4ce9f4de66ca20f21e545659cf8f44e30a1)

Add a new member group with the following variables..

(https://www.support.smfnew.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.support.phpbbnew.com%2Fattachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D16%26stc%3D1%26d%3D1202681912&hash=a7d5fedc74745f1c5b0df89a2a5eef56e97ce9c7)

Click "Permissions" and modify the new group..

(https://www.support.smfnew.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.support.phpbbnew.com%2Fattachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D17%26stc%3D1%26d%3D1202681912&hash=461738091c6f1af192d13dc2feb7ae2fc989c0e7)

Chose permission such as lock / sticky topic..

(https://www.support.smfnew.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.support.phpbbnew.com%2Fattachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D18%26stc%3D1%26d%3D1202681912&hash=bcda0604846bb2b305dea916d907a7dc648990a5)

Now they should not be viewable on forum home but able to stick/lock topics.

Matt.
