I got a suggestion Jaekob. How about you close this topic and every time people create a topic on the same matter then lock there topic and give them a link to the sticky topic you should make. Alright so in the sticky topic you can tell everyone about the problem and how you guys dont have a timeframe yet and you can perhaps update that thread when you guys get more updates. When its fixed perhaps unsticky that topic and make a new topic about the issue thingy you said.

Because everyone has a right to there opinion and creating one sticky will not stop our members asking us questions, resulting in 100s of the same topics.

Well, what you said MST is what I'm going to do once I've been informed that the move is complete. But I don't have enough information on the matter to create a sticky yet, so that's why I've left this topic open.

Clara, I've asked you several times to leave your feedback about our operations out of support topics, thus I've deleted your post. If you have feedback about the way we operate, please post in the Feedback board.

Yes - this is a support topic, and you were complaining about us not posting on our Facebook account AND our Twitter account and giving you regular updates. That belongs in Feedback, not on a support topic.

When I saw a reply to this topic, I was excited that you were posting an update.

Almost two weeks into the downtime and still nothing :(.

We've now had to set up a forum with ProBoards. Losing custom here, guys.

I realise it's frustrating, but Alex gave us an update today in the staff shoutbox.

Quote
sorry guys this move is doing my head in, taking ages.

It's not OUR fault that we had to move the servers. It's just something that had to be done, and likely won't need to be done again. If you'd just remain more patient with us (it's not easy hosting nearly 60 thousand free forums, in addition to the many, many Pro forums), we'll be able to fix this issue and things will be back to normal.

Blah blah not easy hosting that many forums, whatever. You're singing from the same hymn sheet because you haven't got a clue what's going on.

"Sorry guys this is doing my head in, taking ages", not exactly an update. Surely he has a better timescale like next week, next month, next year?

Just an ESTIMATE of when it's going to be fixed, because THIS IS A JOKE.

You either need to use the profit you're making to hire more administrators to sort out your issues or find better administrators and sort it out.

EDIT: It took nearly 10 minutes and 2 "error" pages to post this, you guys really need to sort your crap out. Why people choose you is beyond me.

EDIT: You're hosting 58,231 free forums with 5,097,237 posts. To my recollection, not all of these forums are down because of the server issue therefore your post is incorrect. Get me an answer from Alex or whoever runs this ****.

I don't want to feedback anything, as quite frankly, I don't have the time to write a topic on some Feedback forum that won't get looked at and probably deleted. All I want is for the organ grinder (Alex) and not his three monkeys (Trax, Jaekob Caed and whoever the other blue name is) to give an estimated timescale when this will be completed. Ultimately, I want our forums back online.

No prob. What I posted was my feedback to your posting is all, in compliance with the odd rules.  All I did was quote you.

I suggest this topic to be locked, mainly due to the fact that our forum is now up and running; therefore, this topic has been resolved. In addition, I'd also like to suggest something.

Alex and his crew are doing an excellent job. If you were in their shoes, you'd be doing the exact same thing. So, listen and take Jaekob's advice for once; calm down.

Oh, I see. Well, thanks for notifying me. Also, thanks for the defence and compliment. :)

If the issue reoccurs, feel free to come back and post on that thread that I plan on creating once I've been notified about the server move being completed!

The server move is still ongoing - all errors will be fixed after the move. This is taking our full attention at the moment.

I would like to reiterate any abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated and will result in a ban. I will not accept it.

All my moderators should be treated with kindness as they are working here just to help you.

Citroen has been banned, if anyone is derogatory to our staff expect the same.
