Registration Agreement Formatting
« on: May 05, 2012, 03:19:10 am »
While making the registration agreement for my forum (http://www.tondebrigade.smfnew.com), I have found myself unable to use any kind of formatting (both html and bbcode), and return characters are rendered as spaces, leaving my agreement an unreadable blob of text and format codes. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thank you.

All you have to do is go into Admin > Members > Registration > Registration Agreement > Remove the spaces. :)

I still can't use bb code or html. Even something as simple as Please read the rules is shown as [b]Please read the rules[/b]

I'm not so sure you ever were able to use HTML/BBCode formatting in the Registration Agreement. :-\

Interesting. In the manual posted by simple machines, it says formatting is allowed in the registration agreement.

Hmm, I forgot about that. :P Have you tried checking the agreement in other browsers?

I checked it in both Chrome and Firefox. (I'm pretty sure it won't work in IE)

Probably not. Usually Firefox is the best browser for SMF forums. Could you post a screenshot of the agreement editor and how it shows up to new users?

Sorry for the 20 Questions, I'm just trying to think of things that might cause the issue. :P

I did remove it. I didn't want to leave it there, since my forum is live. I put the code in a few times to get the screen caps and to check it over to see that it really wasn't working.
