Crown next to names
« on: December 26, 2013, 06:40:09 am »
Hello everyone, so I don't know if this is already released or not  ???  But I think that this hasn't been released yet, so I guess it's my job to release it then  :p

What are you adding?: http://prntscr.com/2e1vfz

When you post it look like this: http://prntscr.com/2e1vrq

Difficult: 1/10

1. "Admin Portal" -> "Members" -> "Membergroups".

http://prntscr.com/2e1wl6

2. Click on the member group you want to add crown next to the name, edit the group name to "<img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/2usel55.png" border="0"><b>Owner". Save and you are good to go :)

I'd like to let everyone know that this isn't a good idea unless you really know what you're doing. The reason why? Because SMF (the software, not our fault) limits membergroup names to 80 characters. If all of the text (including the URL and HTML) exceeds 80 characters, it will cause some unsightly bugs that really can't be fixed unless you want to pay for a backup restoration. :P

Otherwise, if you ensure that it won't exceed 80 characters, it should work well.

That's why you should use Tinypic, their links are less than 15 characters.

True, but I still advise being careful when doing things like these.
