You guys are forgetting the one key trait to a great staff member.
Yes, responsibilty and trust do have great affect on being a staff member, you are forgetting about maturity. I wouldn't want a staff member who acts like he is 5 years old. Also, expierience does have  impact on how a staff member does. But so does trust, responsibility, and having the ability to help someone.

So both of you are right.
as a matter of fact no one wants to be with an staff that acts as he/she has 5 years.I mean as a staff you must be able to give an full response to any question or problem, thats why the most of the staff on forums/games and so on are over 18 to react as an mature and responsible person not like child.
Also the staff member must be much online not 24 h to look into your monitor but to be online at the right time when someone needs help. Also the staff should be trusted so no one can harm the forum.

I guess that with this i just approved your comment Hellsjanitor

And also people must be on once a day so they can get the latest updates and information. I also think that people should know how to use forums such as smfnew, phpbb3new and mybbnew.

Then these forums will be good, im not saying there bad know but it needs 1-2 moderators.

I applied, I am a new member here, but have a vast knowledge of forums and have great moderating experience. Looking forward to see who becomes the moderator, whoever it shall be.

Only 3 people have added me on MSN.

We have many staff positions available, just not many people have applied yet by MSN yet.
