Title: Private Domains & Pro Hosting

If you are using a private domain name for smfnew, mybbnew or even a pro hosting customer, then you will need to update your nameservers from

ns3.smfnew.com -> ns1.smfnew.com
ns4.smfnew.com -> ns2.smfnew.com

If you are using a private domain on our free services, you will need to re-apply for it to be added to your forum. SImply reply to this thread with your forum and domain and i'll add it for you.

I have updated your domain name. It can take up to 48 hours for your ISP to update its DNS

or with your other domain just put /cpanel at the end and then the account details you got when you got pro hosting like the user and pass they give thats the details thats how you go on it.

In the case it is solely your fault that your forum is not working.

Again, read my first post, update your nameservers, then I'll add it to our system. Don't know how to update your nameservers? Ask namecheaps live support.

You need to goto your domain registar and set the dns up, if you don't know how to submit a support ticket to them.

How do I secure my domain name by a different registrant and migrate my boards over here without worrying about somebody else registering my domain name in the interim? Suggestions?

That sounds like that $30 dollars extra transfer deal. I do have a backup including the database I was hoping to install directly. By the way, might it ever come to pass down the road that you folks would do domain registering? Just curious.

Thats what your nameservers names should be set to

NS1 > ns1.smfnew.com
NS2 > ns2.smfnew.com

Ask your domain registrar to do this for you if you don't know how.
