Forum roll-back.
« on: January 27, 2012, 07:28:13 pm »
I'd like to request a forum roll-back on http://www.freecoding.smfnew.com/ to approximately 7:00 AM EST. We had a staff member who went rogue and hacked the main owner's account and deleted all posts, accounts, boards, and everything else. All bans/IP bans have been lifted... Its just a huge mess. I tried emailing the webmaster for support, but it seems my message failed to send. If you want proof the owner of that domain would like a rollback, I'd like to recommend emailing him for the best proof. If this is the wrong section, please point me as to where I should be posting this.
Thank you.

To restore a backup, you will be a fee of $2.95. This is because it's a pretty extensive process, and it takes quite a bit of work for us to restore it. The money goes into making SMFNew better for everyone. :)

Yeah, $3 doesn't sound like a problem. Will it overwrite anything done between then and now?

Also, where do I pay?

Hello there,

I am sorry to hear this, I know how long it takes to get posts,

I have a backup, however, I think it might be after the moderator deleted posts. It appears to have 22 members. Our backups run at 12:00 GMT each night and updates any changes instead of creating a new file, so if we do not grab it before the change we do not have access to older backups.

I am sorry about this. I will see if there is anything else I can do,

Thank you,

Alex
