Not really, you already allow attachments to forums don't you? Allowing users to upload rank images is actually safer than allowing attachments.

Also you could have a different server or part of a server just for image uploads and mod it into the software.

All i'm saying is it's not that hard to have this implemented if enough of your users wanted it
