I've been quite obsessed with this song recently. I've been exploring Japanese history, culture and society for the past year and a half, and it has led me to find some really awesome bands in their rock and metal scene.

Just an additional tip: if you happen to use a VPN, there's a good chance that the VPN's IPs have been used by spammers in the past, thus why you may be in the aforementioned database. In the future, if you encounter an issue like that, either switch VPN servers or disable it altogether. If your bare IP is listed in that database, however, you'll need to get a new IP for yourself. See this article for how to get a new IP without using a VPN.

Hi and welcome to SMFNew! Sorry for the delay in response!

Unfortunately, as of yet, we don't support custom badges on forums. However, we do have a massive selection of stars and badges to select from. To use one of these, simply copy the text next to the star/badge you like. Next, navigate to the Membergroups section of the admin center: Admin > Membergroups (under the "Members" category). Then, look for the membergroup you wish to edit and select the "Modify" option. In this menu, paste the text into the textbox within the "Star image filename:" option. If you pick a badge, make sure you set the "Number of star images:" option to 1. Click the "Save" button and you should be good to go!

As for the Croatian language, please see this thread for more information.

Feel free to let us know if you have any trouble with this or if you have further questions.

Thanks for choosing SMFNew!

Hi AbilayHan, thanks for getting in contact.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of SMFNew as a service, we're unable to offer access to the database. However, if you'd like to assign a specific user account to have specific privileges on your forum, visit their profile and navigate to the link labeled, "Account Settings" under the "Modify Profile" category. When you get to that menu, look for the option labeled "Primary Membergroup:". In the drop-down menu, you can assign that particular user account to whatever membergroup you'd like them to be a part of. This will publicly list their account as that membergroup. You can assign further membergroups by using the "Additional Membergroups:" option, which is right below the Primary Membergroup option.

If you want to edit the privileges of a specific membergroup, head to Admin > Permissions (under the "Members" category) > select "Modify" on whichever group(s) you wish to edit. Be careful with permissions. If you're not careful and assign a member to a membergroup with lots of permissions, it can lead to unwanted changes if that member turns out to be untrustworthy or if their account gets hijacked.

Thanks for choosing SMFNew!

No problem, happy to help! :) In the future, if you need help and we're able to solve the problem for you, please make sure you mark the topic as "Solved" using the button at the bottom of the thread. This helps us to know that the issue doesn't need any further support. Thanks ahead of time and welcome to the support forum!

Also, if you want to close your forum down, you can enable maintenance mode which makes it only accessible to accounts with admin privileges. It doesn't delete the forum but it does lock it down. To put your forum into maintenance mode, navigate to Admin > Forum Settings and look for the option labeled "Enable Maintenance Mode". Check the checkbox then save. It will lock the forum down so that you can still view it but only admin accounts can do so. Underneath that option, there are some options to customize the message displayed for anyone who tries to visit the forum.

If you have further questions, feel free to let us know!

General Discussion / Re: Halloween Approaches!

Hey Browman, welcome to the SMFNew support forum! :) I don't have any specific plans here aside from going to local fall festivals and such. Also, my brother, dad and I are probably going to go old school and play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory like we used to around the holidays. One fan-made map, called Resurrection, is perfect for Halloween and is sort of a tradition for us haha

I agree, forums have really taken a back seat to social media and Reddit these days so that kind of growth is insane! I suppose it's a credit to the uniqueness of a word game forum. Very nice!

Hi MixeR, welcome to SMFNew! Keep in mind that our team answers in English and we use translation tools to understand your inquiry, so we apologize if we misunderstand what you were asking. To add to what has already been said, we don't allow custom images for membergroups but we have a plethora of images you can use on your forum.

Thanks for getting in contact!

PS: In the future, please use our Support board for any help you need with our service.

Support / Re: Description field does not work

Yes, in the future, please list your forum URL in every support thread as listed in the Support Rules thread. Just to be clear, you're wanting to edit your meta keywords, correct? Typically, editing meta keywords requires you to edit a PHP file which we don't allow with SMFNew, but it is strange that the field you show in the video isn't saving.

If that's not what you were wanting to do, perhaps what you're looking for is the site slogan? It enables a bit of text in the top right-hand corner of your forum (where the "SimpleMachines Forum" logo is on this support forum). If that's what you're looking for, navigate to Admin > Layout Settings > "Site slogan:" and enter whatever text you'd like to enter; images and links will work if you use HTML. Save your changes and you should be good to go.

As always, feel free to let us know if your issue hasn't been solved!

Forum Games / Be Cool

This board is for you all to let loose and have a bit of fun. However, that doesn't mean the rules don't apply here. If you need to re-read the rules, follow this link. In general, just keep it respectful.

And yes, "See how many times we can post in this topic!" and one-word post games are considered to be spam. Don't post canned meat, that's not cool.

Support / [OFFICIAL] Support Rules
« on: May 02, 2019, 12:22:34 am »
Hello valued user! In order to keep things peaceful and orderly on this forum, we ask that all of our users abide by this small set of rules. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action at the discretion of our site team. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • HAVE A MEANINGFUL TITLE: Ensure that your thread has a title that states the general issue you're having. This aids in our response time.
  • POST YOUR FORUM LINK: When you create a topic in our Support board, please include a link to the forum you need help with. Without a link, it's difficult for us to offer help in most cases.
  • BE AS INFORMATIVE AS POSSIBLE: When making a support thread in this board, please offer us as much information about the issue as possible. This allows us to help you solve the problem as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • MARK YOUR TOPIC AS SOLVED: When our support staff have given you a response that fixes the issue you were having, please mark your topic as Solved by selecting the button near the bottom of your thread. This is very helpful for us as it lets us know that we've done our job effectively.
  • BE RESPECTFUL (AND PATIENT): Our support team is a fully voluntary initiative; we have jobs and duties outside of this service. We offer our time to help you and ensure that you have the best experience you can while using SMFNew. Likewise, many of our users do the same thing despite not being an official part of the SMFNew team. Please do not be rude toward anyone in your support threads. We understand that some issues can be very frustrating but be patient! We'll get to the bottom of the problem and work together to solve it!

Thank you for taking the time to read these rules. We look forward to helping you!

New User Introduction / Re: Hello!

Hi there! Welcome to SMFNew! :) My apologies for the wait for a response, I've been on a hiatus for a bit. For future reference, please post in the Support board for any future support questions. Now, on to your question.

Unfortunately, we cannot answer support questions for Google's services since we're not affiliated with them. However, if you need help with indexing, the Webmaster FAQ is a great place to start. If I misunderstood what you were asking, I apologize and we'd be glad to help if you're having trouble with our service.

Once again, thank you for choosing SMFNew! We hope you enjoy your time using our service!

The Style Manager allows you to modify the CSS of the default theme for SMF. On the main page of the Style Manager, you'll see a selection of premade styles you can use (which you can use as a starting point for making your own style) or you can just create one from scratch by navigating to the Create Style tab.

Uploading custom themes currently isn't supported on SMFNew but the Style Manager offers a very significant amount of customization options so that you can truly personalize your forum to your liking. If you're not familiar with CSS and how it works, check out W3Schools to learn more. They also have tutorials for other things in web development, including HTML, JavaScript, databases (SQL) and more.

I hope that helps! :)
