The upgrade approaches!

So, as the date approaches for smf v2, we have some exciting updates to share with you! Our main website will also be updated to follow the new software.

Whats New in SMF?
  • A new system I have coded will allow us to upload themes in a matter of seconds! No need for us to edit them = you get way more themes!
  • Modifications, we can easily install modifications like the themes! Meaning all your requests may be accepted.
  • Debated, you may be able to edit the themes css file! Therefore, you can change the colours and images!
  • Rank images! Yes, I'm excited about this too. Upload your own rank images.

Whats New for smfnew?
  • Many new parts to our website, including much more information to help you build and make your forum.
  • Create admin user! If your Administrator account on your forum gets deleted, you can easily make a new one via the control panel.
  • Addon domains, a new system which will enable us to add your domains in seconds! No more needing to create a thread asking us to add it.
  • Reporting! Made a report on a forum? You will be able to track your report and see what we have done to your report.
  • Advertising, chose which type of advertisements you want on your board! You can even advertise on every forum by our new advertising panel.
  • More payment gateways and cycles!

How and when?
  • We will let you know in advance before we upgrade.
  • The forum upgrades will be first come first serve basis. If you enter your forum, http://www.forum.smfnew.com, your forum will be placed into a queue which will upgrade it when you are first in line.
  • All members, boards, posts, attachments will be kept! The only thing you will lose is the "Powered by SMF 1.1.8" mark!

Misc
Q : I don't want to upgrade to SMF v2. What can you do for me?
A : All forums will be upgraded. There is no reason not to. SMF v2 has many more features and the front end looks similar to smf v1. If you are still adamant on running 1.1.8, you will be able to purchase a hosting plan from us.

Q : You didn't say when we will upgrade. When will we?
A : No idea. Probably before mid summer (July).

Q : Why are you hyping it up when its ages away?
A : We like to inform all users of whats happening in advance. Not a last minute job!

Oh, brilliant.  Went to the link for adding forum though and it's coming up with:

A database error has occured.
mySQL Error : Table 'smfnew_smfforums6.forum_smf_settings' doesn't exist

Am I too early for adding my forum?

I was hoping to have the new smfnew2 running by next week.

This looks like it won't happen. Maybe a few weeks in the near future.

Thanks.

I clicked on that link and nothing happened... where are we supposed to enter it? Am I missing something? (It wouldn't be the first time...:p)

You dont.

If a visitor goes on your forum, any visitor, it will be placed in the queue.

This is when we actually upgrade of course.

I think Matt is done with it, and I think he has been done for a few days now.

Not possitive, though.

I'm still running 1.1.8, so I don't think the upgrade is quite finished :P

Matt: I'm sure SMF hasn't "Officially" released 2.0? Just Pre-Released it, so Hosters can prepare their forum?

Or has Conay totally failed?
