Heartbleed Bug
« on: April 12, 2014, 01:46:39 am »
Hello users!

Recently, there has been quite a stir over a major OpenSSL bug which causes security vulnerabilities on some websites and services. We just wanted to let people know that SMFNew is safe from this bug, so there's no need to worry about it. :)

Regards,
- SMFNew Administration

PS - For more information on how to keep yourself safe from this bug (which is affecting many sites around the internet), see this article.

We are safe. Our webserver apache does not have ssl built in so we are unaffected.
PHP has ssl but it is the safe version
